Available as a free download through Apple’s App Store, this FlexNet App provides convenient, real-time mobile access to Apriso’s global solution for manufacturing operations management
Apriso, a leading provider of manufacturing software solutions, today announced from Apriso’s Community Summit the availability of a FlexNet App for iPad and iPhone users. This announcement expands Apriso’s support for mobile devices by now including these iOS-based Apple products. Apriso’s customers can use this application to access the functionality provided by FlexNet’s Manufacturing Execution System.
The new iOS-based tablet and phone application enables access to the complete suite of FlexNet applications, including Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance and Time & Labor. Apriso’s customers stand to reap the following benefits by using this new app:
Greater flexibility when executing business processes from their iPad or iPhone
Expanded remote access to FlexNet to monitor system performance 24/7
Simplified execution of maintenance or quality inspections with large-screened iPads or iPhones
Faster performance of exception handling or alert responses from a wider variety of mobile devices
“We see increasing adoption of tablet technology, specifically the iPad, by mobile workers and supervisors in maintenance, quality and warehouse management roles. In addition, this is a perfect platform for manufacturing executives to view manufacturing intelligence, from wherever they might be,” said John Fishell, Vice President Product Management at Apriso. “Apriso continues to follow a strategy of being device and vendor agnostic or neutral; this latest release supports this directive, expanding FlexNet’s compatibility amongst the growing group of Apple product users.”
