Morris Group, Inc. has announced the formation of a new operating company, Velocity Products. The new division will market tooling and accessories throughout North America. "Our focus will be on tooling, machine tool accessories and consumables that help manufacturers improve the productivity of their operations," explains Robert L. Bauer, Morris Group vice president of tooling and accessories,
According to Brad Morris, president of Morris Group, Inc., Velocity Products will begin selling tooling for Okuma lathes and a limited number of other products in September of 2011. "Our sales and application engineers work closely with our customers to help them maximize the performance of their machine tools," he says. "Velocity Products will distribute tooling that Morris engineers have qualified and found to be effective. It’s a natural extension of our core business."
Velocity Products will exhibit at the upcoming imX show in Las Vegas as well as the Wisconsin Machine Tool Show in Milwaukee and the SOUTHTEC show in Charlotte.
