Velocity Products, a division of Morris Group Inc. has announced that it will begin selling a line of Marchetti lathe tooling for Okuma under the Velocity brand. Driven tools and holders are currently available for Okuma LB2000-EX and LB3000-EX lathes.
All Velocity Products tools are manufactured referencing two precision ground surfaces on the tool body, resulting in superior tool performance and allowing quick, yet precise tool/turret alignment. "Velocity Tools use double rated bearings and feature ceramic coating of all central shafts," explains product manager, Phil Janiszewski. "These features enable the tools to perform under the most extreme conditions and greatly add to their longevity."
A proprietary labyrinth style double-sealed front end is utilized. Seal surfaces are ceramic coated for maximum integrity. "These tools are manufactured to such exacting standards that we are able to offer a 'no questions asked' two year warranty on all tooling for Okuma turning centers" adds Janiszweski.
