Schaumburg, Illinois – A traditional Japanese Kagamiwari ceremony marked the grand opening of the new Takisawa U.S. headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, in late May 2015. More than 100 machine tool industry executives and local officials gathered at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel as Takisawa representatives cracked open a barrel of sake with mallets to toast the machine tool builder’s expansion in the United States. With a presence in the U.S. since 1963, Takisawa’s headquarters was established here to provide additional service and support to its growing U.S. customer base.
“Through of our new technical center, I expect Takisawa, Inc.’s volume of sales to be $30 million in the near future,” said Kazuhiro Harada, president Takisawa Machine Tool Co. Ltd.
Tours and an open house the day after the ceremony, provided visitors with Takisawa machining demonstrations, examples of training and test-cut capabilities and previews of the state-of-the-art showroom, spare parts warehouse and machine service/rebuild center. Built from the ground up on 2.4 acres, this 13,500ft2 facility is centrally located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. To complement this new space, the company unveiled its latest tagline: Building Trust through Innovation.
Takisawa’s extensive machine line includes lathes, piston machines, multipurpose machines, vertical machining centers and more.
