Sil-Pro Medical Manufacturing Solutions announced a major expansion of their Delano, Minnesota based facilities with the purchase of a new 55,000 square foot building.
Adjacent to existing facilities, the recently acquired building will immediately house a newly designed 15,000 square foot tooling department with design and tool build capabilities.
Announcing the expansion into a campus setting, Kevin Carver, president of Sil-Pro, states that the new building provides for both the short and long-term needs of Sil-Pro’s rapidly expanding business. "By moving our tool making operations into adjacent facilities, we are able to immediately expand them from 5,000 square feet to 15,000. And our previous 5,000 square foot mold making facility will be added to our existing class 10,000 cleanroom molding facility.
“This expansion provides us with the strategic capability of expanding our full-service medical device contract manufacturing and to develop a dedicated R&D department for proving-out new designs, processes and expediting prototypes," he continues.
With more than 125 employees, Sil-Pro has become an important state-of-the-art supplier to today's quality and efficiency-dedicated medical device community. Sil-Pro is an ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 13485:2003 certified contract manufacturer specializing in molded and extruded silicone, thermoplastics, and full-service medical device contract manufacturing assembly.
