Mazak has announced that it will host "Your Manufacturing Future? Refocus, Rediscover and Reinvent" (R3), a three-day event designed to help customers not only evaluate their positions in the marketplace but also formulate plans to gain the competitive edge as the economy rebounds. R3 will be held from September 15 – 17, 2009 at Mazak's National Technology Center in Florence, KY, and feature a number of machine tools far exceeding the total exhibited in the Mazak booth at IMTS 2008.
"When the economy turns around, the shops that thrive will not be those that simply survived but the ones that planned and invested with an eye on the future," says Brian Papke, president, Mazak Corporation. "At Mazak, we lead by example, and with R3, we can help each customer refocus, rediscover and reinvent their operations by providing exposure to the newest technology, support and training in advanced manufacturing."
R3 will serve as the debut for more than a dozen machine tools boasting advanced technologies never before seen in today's marketplace. Over the next three months, Mazak will periodically unveil new information about the models on MazakUSA.com, providing customers with a glimpse of what can be accomplished in the ever-changing economic landscape.
Customers will have the opportunity to experience Mazak Progressive Learning first hand at the Mazak Learning Center. The tiered learning program offers training for customers of all skill levels, ranging from self-paced workforce development programs to hands-on application and development courses at the Center for Multi-Tasking and Manufacturing Excellence in Florence, KY.
Additionally, customers will also have the opportunity to tour Mazak's manufacturing plant, which is currently undergoing continued expansion including the installation of four new Versatech V-100N bridge-type 5-axis machines, which will replace six Versatech V-100 FMS machines. The improved workflow and higher levels of efficiency created by the $9 million investment will enable the Mazak to continue meeting the demand for world-class machining centers, turning centers and multi-tasking machines.
