Mazak Corporation has been recognized by the Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED) for the positive economic impact that its recent business expansion had on the region in 2008. Since 1987, Tri-ED has worked to build a world-class economy in Northern Kentucky through the expansion of existing businesses and the creation and attraction of high quality, primary industry employers.
Mazak recently completed a $3.3 million expansion in size and capabilities at its manufacturing facility in Florence, Kentucky, adding 50,000-ft2 of floor space to its 543,000-ft2 campus. The facility is home to the company’s domestically manufactured NEXUS line of vertical machining centers and 2 and 3 Axis models of CNC turning centers, which include a second spindle to perform “Done-in-One” machining. Mazak’s NEXUS machines offer high performance and advanced technology at an outstanding value.
“Mazak has been in Florence, Kentucky for more than 30 years,” said Brian Papke, President of Mazak. “In this time, we have seen 15 facility expansions, as well as the region’s evolution into a true powerhouse of economic development. We are proud of our contribution to the growth and success of Northern Kentucky, and look forward to continuing to do so in the future.”
