Worthington Cylinders, a Worthington Industries has expanded its existing CO2 and medical cylinder product lines by offering two larger, industry-preferred cylinder sizes. The expansion completes the company’s product line and ensures one-stop shopping for customers in the food service and medical industries.
“Worthington Cylinders is already known for bringing its customers lightweight, high-quality cylinders in a variety of sizes, and this product line expansion allows us to go one step further by completing our offering with the larger, industry-preferred options,” says Dusty McClintock, Worthington Cylinders vice president of sales and marketing. “New and existing customers will now have the ability to use one vendor for all of their cylinder needs, large and small.”
The company’s new 20-pound CO2 cylinder provides food service customers with a lightweight, longer lasting cylinder option ideal for dispensing carbonated and on-tap beverages. Adding to the existing product line, which ranges from two- to 15-pound cylinders, the expanded size still boasts a corrosion-resistant interior and exterior, 6061-T6 aluminum alloy to improve strength and portability and an optional carrying handle for superior valve protection.
For customers in the medical industry, Worthington Cylinders’ larger 122-cubic-foot cylinder (M-122) offers additional capacity for backup oxygen supply, translating to less frequent replacement cylinder deliveries and increased efficiency for the distribution system. Expanding the company’s existing medical cylinder line, which previously topped out at a 90-cubic-foot cylinder, the new product is ideal for home oxygen therapy, emergency medical services (EMS), pre-hospital care and hospitals, nursing homes and other medical institutions.
The new cylinder products will be manufactured at the company’s plant in New Albany, MS, and available for distribution throughout North America. Both cylinders, and the rest of the Worthington Cylinders line, are manufactured to DOT and TC requirements. The products are available to be finished to customer paint, valve and stamp specifications within days.
