Sandvik Coromant, the world’s leading producer of cutting tools for the metal cutting industry, has announced that it will be holding a “Pitch-Perfect Threading” event on May 4, 2011. As part of the Smart Event series, dedicated to helping you think smart, work smart, and earn smart, this customer event will be held at the Sandvik Coromant Productivity Center in Schaumburg, Ill., from 8:30am to 1:00pm.
Pitch-Perfect Threading will focus primarily on thread turning, with some discussion of thread milling techniques, and will use a combination of theory-based training and live machine demonstrations to teach attendees how to produce high-quality thread forms and surfaces.
“We want to arm machine operators and programmers with information for the most productive and efficient threading operations,” explains Scott Lewis, Industry and Application Specialist for Parting, Grooving, and Threading.
Key presentation topics include various infeed methods, thread profiles, trouble shooting solutions, and proper tool selection. This event is recommended for anybody working with threading operations, including machine operators, production engineers, and programmers.
