Bentec Medical Inc. has introduced a new product called the Bentec Dilator to its line of medical manufacturing tools that is designed for interventional procedures. The thermoplastic Bentec Dilator is designed for percutaneous introduction and exchange of biliary catheters used for drainage of benign and malignant biliary obstructions.
The Bentec Dilator is used for placing or exchanging Biliary Stents utilized for the management of obstructions. The stent is used to prevent or relieve sepsis, to relieve symptoms of obstruction such as pruritis and to maintain a pathway for the bile flow into the bowel for digestive function.
“Bentec is very excited to introduce the Bentec Dilator to our line of medical device products,” says Briant Benson, Bentec’s CEO and founder. “The Bentec Dilator will change the way physicians perform surgery because it will give the surgeons more freedom to use a variety of surgical techniques to employ during the placement of the Biliary Stent with a Bentec Dilator.
“The Bentec Dilator will also help Interventional Radiologists with insertion and reduce the amount of lubricant used during the procedure,” Benson says. “And the ridges of the Bentec Dilator mean less surface area, unlike the competition, which have a solid edge. Truly, our customers depend on our experience, commitment, dedication and ability to deliver high-quality products. We continually strive to exceed customer expectations around the world.”
