
Albany, New York – MedTech Association, a trade association for bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) companies in New York State, is hosting its annual conference Sept. 15 and 16 in Albany, N.Y.
MEDTECH 2014 will feature several keynote speakers set to discuss topics related to the conference theme of Redefining Innovation in the Face of Healthcare Reform.
John Babitt is a partner and life sciences industry leader for Ernst & Young with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare. He will share his thoughts on the state of the industry, a shift in the value-based healthcare model and future of Bio/Med. In addition, the conference will feature a “fireside chat” about MedTech’s inaugural industry report with representatives from KJT Group, of Honeoye Falls, and Battelle Technology Partnership Practice who conducted the quantitative and qualitative analysis for the report. MedTech’s industry report, which will be released at MEDTECH 2014, examines the industry’s economic impact and Bio/Med workforce and talent base in New York State.
Ken Tomaszewski is the founder, president and CEO of KJT Group while Tom Richardson serves as vice president of the global healthcare research and consulting arm of the company. Ryan Helwig is a senior economist with Battelle’s Technology Partnership Practice with more than 15 years of experience conducting economic analysis.
