Small Metal Prototypes Rapid Prototyping Services

ProtoCAM’s rapid prototyping services for small metal prototypes, now offers more metal prototyping options and materials.

ProtoCAM officials announce the expansion of its small metal prototypes rapid prototyping services. ProtoCAM now offers aluminum, steel and stainless steel prototypes created using selective laser sintering (SLS) or a variety of different metal casting technologies. These casting techniques include:

  • Investment casting
  • Plaster casting
  • Sand casting
  • QuickCast

Further, ProtoCAM can provide metal coated prototypes created from other rapid prototyping techniques such as stereolithography (SLA), urethane casting, and injection molding. Metal coated prototypes can be plated with nickel, copper, and chrome. Depending on the application, ProtoCAM can produce metal prototypes ranging in size from hundredths of an ounce to hundreds of pounds.

“ProtoCAM’s expanded rapid prototyping service for small metal prototypes is a response to our customers’ needs and requests,” states Ray Biery, ProtoCAM’s managing partner. “And it fits well with our rapid prototyping problem-solving approach. We assist customers in choosing the right tools and materials to get the small metal prototypes that meet their requirements.

ProtoCAM’s engineers and rapid prototyping experts work with customers regularly to help determine the best technology and process to achieve what customers need. Typical applications for these small metal prototypes include:

  • Medical
  • Consumer Goods
  • Industrial Machinery
