SYSPRO ERP Enables Inventory Reduction of 30%

SYSPRO, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, announced today that SYSPRO ERP software has enabled Edwardsburg, MI-based Duo-Form Plastics to cut inventories by 30%.  According to Ralph Gligorich, Duo-Form Director of Technology, the company has utilized SYSPRO Forecasting and Inventory Management functionalities to reduce order backlog and pare inventories, while also maintaining sufficient inventories to maintain customer service levels and fill customer demand.  Says Gligorich, “SYSPRO is enabling us to forecast and monitor customer usage and adjust safety stocks accordingly so we maintain less inventory while providing maximum customer enhancement.”  By monitoring particular items, he says, Duo-Form is able to make periodic adjustments to its safety stock.  “While most customers expect order turnaround within a week, it takes us 6 to 8 weeks to obtain the raw product,” says Gligorich. “Therefore, we must carry safety stock, which we’ve pared down by 30%, thanks to SYSPRO ERP software.”

According to Gligorich, while Duo-Form had been utilizing inventory management software, “inventory management was a nightmare.” The software was too cumbersome and the interface too complex causing the company to occasionally overship.  The need for a better solution was apparent. Upon evaluating numerous software solutions, Duo-Form selected SYSPRO ERP.  “What really sold us was the SYSPRO Finite Scheduling Module,” he says, also noting the availability of a local SYSPRO software reseller was also a big plus.
