Medical Device Manufacturer Expanding Facility

BSN Medical GmbH, a Hamburg, Germany-based manufacturer of medical devices, plans to expand its Conover, NC, facility by 50,000 square feet.

BSN Medical expects the $2 million investment to create up to 25 new jobs over the next two years at the facility, which has 44 employees. The expansion will enable the facility to produce the company’s line of orthopedic and bracing products.

The company, which employs 3,600 people around the world, makes medical devices for fracture management, physiotherapy, compression therapy and wound care. BSN’s U.S. office is in Charlotte.
