On March 16, 2010, from 10am to 4pm, BioOhio will host the 1st Annual BioOhio Suppliers & Service Providers Expo at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus. An event designed to attract medical device and pharmaceutical company attendees from around the Midwest, the Expo will feature Ohio-based suppliers and service providers showcasing their latest offerings to potential clients or partners.
Free to attend, the Expo will feature more than 60 exhibitors, covering all aspects of moving biomedical products from idea to market, including laboratory supplies, clinical trial support, contract manufacturing, product design and prototyping, marketing advice, regulatory and legal counsel, and more. A complete list of exhibitors (listed below) can be found at www.bioohio.com/event1.aspx.
In 2008, BioOhio began in-depth research on Ohio’s depth and breadth of bioscience supply chain partners and specialized service providers. The fruits of that research can be found in the new version of the online Ohio Bioscience Resource Directory (directory.bioohio.com), with hundreds of Ohio-based suppliers and service providers.
“The Expo is a logical extension of the directory,” said BioOhio Business Development Director Scott Osborne. “You can do quite a bit online, but there is still immense value in face-to-face interaction when it comes to building relationships and selecting partners.”
The Aladdin Shrine Center is adjacent to Easton Town Center, a popular Columbus destination with a full complement of retail, dining, and hotel options. The BioOhio Suppliers & Service Providers Expo is less than a 4-hour drive from Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Fort Wayne, Lexington, and Louisville, and a short flight from Chicago, Washington, D.C., Raleigh, St. Louis and Philadelphia.
Attendance is free. To register as an attendee, visit www.bioohio.com/event1.aspx.
