Cole Carbide Industries is proud to announce the fourth generation of family ownership with the appointment of John Cole as President and Amy Kranker (Cole) as Executive V.P. Larry Cole will continue serving as Chairman of the Board.
Like the generations before him, John Cole began working for Cole Carbide when he was 12-years-old. John returned after college to take Cole into the global marketplace securing a presence in over 30 countries and establishing 10 service centers.
Amy Kranker (Cole) began working for Cole Carbide part-time while attending the University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Oxford in England where she studied Pre Law, Marketing, and Finance.
Founded in 1936 by Oren S. Cole, Cole Carbide was one of the only single-source suppliers to serve as both manufacturer and distributor. Donald Cole became president following WWII and implemented business-building strategies and procedures for serving the automotive community.
Larry Cole entered the family business in 1959 working part time while in high school and then later as president. Larry led the effort to expand sales nationally and build other market sectors.
The history of carbide is the history of the Cole family, with four generations continuously serving manufacturers with quality products and impeccable service. John and Amy look forward to their respective children carrying on the Cole Legacy for a fifth generation.
Cole Carbide is headquartered in Warren Michigan and is comprised of Cole Carbide Industries with subsidiaries Engineered Products and Oil, Gas & water divisions, and Cole Tooling Systems featuring Millstar Indexa-V and Omnithread product divisions.
