An improved and expanded product line targeting medical device manufacturers is now available from iSi Components. Gas cylinders from iSi Components are commonly used as power sources for portable and/or disposable cryogenic medical devices.
iSi's newest cylinder offering has a large 32cc (32ml) water capacity and provides 23.5 grams of liquid N2O with the same industry-leading, high-integrity pierce characteristics that iSi is known for.
iSi unveiled the new version of their N2O cylinder at the 2011 MD&M East medical show in New York City and received extensive interest from the medical device community. iSi also announced in-process production improvements to filling and crimp capping processes.
"iSi already supplies the most accurate and consistent gas fills and the tightest leakage rates of any gas cylinders available anywhere, but we wanted to go even further for the medical device industry," says Anthony Florio, Director of iSi's Components Division.
Consistent gas fills and tight leakage rates ensure consistent, repeatable results, as well as longer shelf-lives for cryogenic medical devices.
iSi manufactures disposable gas-filled cylinders ranging in size from 10cc to 700cc (10ml - 700ml) with a variety of gas fills including Carbon Dioxide, Nitrous Oxide, Argon and Nitrogen and filling pressures up to 2,900psi (200 bar). Disposable gas cylinders from iSi feature maximum reliability, and are manufactured to stringent quality and safety standards, for unmatched performance in critical applications. iSi is ISO 9001:2008 certified. Its quality management program includes 100% safety testing, 100% accelerated leak-proof testing, computerized QA records and controls, weight checks and controls throughout the manufacturing process, and independent audits and certification. USP and Ph. Eur. gas analyses are also available on request.
