Health Net Connect, Inc. (HNC), a designer, manufacturer and distributor of telemedicine patient monitoring solutions, software, hardware and remote patient monitoring today announces the worldwide release of the HNC VideoDoc (patent pending) telemedicine solution. The first of its kind, fully comprehensive telemedicine solution, the HNC VideoDoc system provides physicians and care providers with the ability to remotely monitor any patient anywhere in the world and conduct real-time virtual house calls and virtual rounds in a secure environment. The additional benefit would reduce the rate of hospital re-admissions by almost 70% -- potentially saving hospitals billions of dollars in reduced re-admission costs.
“VideoDoc's launch has altered the delivery of medical care for the entire world,” says Mary Shaya, president, J&B Medical Supply, parent company of HNC. “Using the VideoDoc platform, physicians in New York can deliver the latest medical innovations and techniques to Darfur as easily as to New Jersey. Yet, this innovation is not simply advancement in medical technology and care, it is a victory for all of us working to increase effectiveness and efficiency in medicine, end needless suffering and to improve the human condition.”
The HNC VideoDoc solution monitors heart, lung and blood functions for congestive heart failure, diabetic and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients, as well as high-risk pregnancy and dermatology. It integrates all patient vitals like blood pressure, electrocardiogram, pulse oxymetry, weight / body mass index, blood glucose, and spirometry plus diagnostic tools like home ultra-sound systems with HIPAA and HI-Tech compliant video consultation systems, allowing for secure data exchange and diagnostic consultations with physicians and specialists around the world. All HNC patient devices are FDA and CE approved.
The HNC Home Patient Monitoring system allows a chronic or acute state patient to discharge and return to the comfort of their home without losing their connection to the health professionals who manage their care. Physicians can now provide more effective in-home convalescent care -- treatment proven to enhance clinical outcomes.
Patients easily visit their healthcare professionals, send their vitals and receive home video consultation and care. All patient vitals are transmitted via trends, graphs and reports to care providers. HNC In-hospital solutions allow Physicians to conduct virtual rounds and care for their patients regardless of where the patient or care-provider is located in the world.
“Video conferencing with patients while viewing real-time vitals and visual condition allows for true un-matched care. VideoDoc can demonstrate improved patient outcomes, substantial reductions in the cost of care as well as unprecedented access to Physician Specialists worldwide. These are the core strengths of HNC Solutions,” says HNC’s Chief Operating Officer, Corky Davis.
