On January 1, 2010, officials of FANUC LTD. announced the start of operations of FANUC CNC America (formerly FANUC America). The result of the dissolution of the GE Fanuc joint venture (finalized on December 11, 2009), and the merger of the former GE Fanuc CNC parts and systems business into FANUC AMERICA Corporation, FANUC CNC America is the largest CNC sales, service, and support organization in the Americas. “We are extremely excited about the launch of FANUC CNC America,” says President & CEO Tomo Ishibe, former Vice President/General Manager of GE Fanuc’s CNC business. “By combining the strengths of both organizations we provide a stronger, more unified face to customers, whether they are end users, machine tool builders, distributors or systems integrators across all major industries. Our new company provides a single source of end-to-end CNC solutions for customers everywhere.” FANUC LTD. officials state that the new company, FANUC CNC America, headquartered in Hoffman Estates, IL, combines the full capabilities of GE Fanuc and FANUC America, providing CNC control systems sales and support, engineering and technical service, on-site engineering and automation services, genuine Fanuc parts sales and repair services, hotline technical support, and more.
