Wright Medical Group has launched the Evolution Medial-Pivot Knee System, which is designed to replicate the stability and function of a human knee.
The Evolution system has a ball-in-socket mechanism on the medial side, which mimics the stability and motion of a natural knee.
Other features include enhanced instrumentation, a variety of sizing options and a posterior stabilised option.
The system is designed to ease rehabilitation and address stability concerns which normally occur after a total knee replacement.
The enhancements have been achieved through state-of-art engineering concepts and have used CT scans to produce implants that replicate natural knee anatomy and are suitable for less-invasive surgical exposures.
