The program for the Micro Manufacturing Technical Briefing Sessions has now been finalized. Happening May 11-13, 2010, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, OH, MM Live is the leading event for micro and precision manufacturing.
In a bid to aid product developers, design engineers and micro manufacturers looking to explore the full potential that micro and precision manufacturing can offer, the Technical Briefing Sessions are completely free of charge to attend.
Each day will begin with a keynote address from a leading authority in micro manufacturing. Donna Bibber, President/CEO of Micro Engineering Solutions will kick off the Tech. Briefings on Day 1 with a paper entitled ‘Micro Devices Made Possible Using Multiple Material and Micro Manufacturing Technologies’. On Day 2, Gary Zurek, President at Kern USA, will give an Evaluation of the Market for Micro Milling. Finally, on Day 3, with a specific focus on Micro Manufacturing in the Medical Industry, Stu Kaplan, President of Makuta Technics will give an overview on ‘The Creation and Production of Micro Molded Microfluidic Components.’
Following the keynotes will be an impressive array of speakers handpicked from our elite panels of experts including: Kohei Shinohara, Sodick Plustech; Brian Kyte, Alicona; Joe Negron, Kyocera; Jonathan Hay, Union Tool; Steve Parette, Microwaterjet LLC; Kevin Hartke, Mound Laser & Photonics Center; Pat Kavanuagh, SMC Ltd, plus many more.
The sessions are broken down across the three days into specific technology areas including micro molding, micro inspection and metrology and micro machining. An industry-focused session on micro manufacturing in the medical industry will take place on Day 3.
On the exhibition floor over 40 of the leading suppliers will be exhibiting providing a global showcase for all aspects of the mass manufacture of small to micro precision parts, whether a company can make them to order or supply the machinery to mill, cut or mould.
