MW Industries acquires LaVezzi Precision

Chicago, Illinois – MW Industries, a provider of highly engineered springs, specialty fasteners, machined parts, and other precision components, acquired LaVezzi Precision Inc., a leading manufacturer of precision machined components used by the medical device industry.

Located in Bloomingdale, Illinois, LaVezzi was founded more than 100 years ago as a manufacturer of components for motion pictures projectors. The company reinvented itself in the mid-1980s as a high-precision component supplier to the medical device market.

LaVezzi manufactures machined components for cardiovascular devices, orthopedic and dental implants, and metal components for laparoscopic and surgical devices. The company specializes in high-precision machining of titanium and stainless-steel components for applications requiring extremely tight tolerances, earning a reputation for quality and excellence within the medical device component industry.

LaVezzi will continue operations in its 90,000ft² facility in Bloomingdale under MW Industries’ ownership. MW Industries has completed a number of acquisitions to strengthen its product offering and enhance its value to customers. The company is currently evaluating a strong pipeline of possible transactions.
