Erlanger, Kentucky – Romi Machine Tools Ltd. announces the winner of “It’s time I had a Romi in my shop” sweepstakes.
The winner is Mike Burchill, president of Marshall Mfg. in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The prize is a Romi C 420 CNC Lathe – fast, accurate, easy to use and completely reliable. With a tax offset, the prize is valued at $63,000.
Marshall Manufacturing supplies medical devices and components to OEMs in several markets including urology, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and dental.
Manufacturing materials include 300 series stainless steel, 17-4 and 17-7 stainless steel, titanium, L605, MP35N cobalt chrome alloys, and a multitude of medical grade plastics.
In addition to CNC turning and milling, Marshall’s current capabilities include 2D and 3D bending, precision bending, CNC bending of small diameter tube and wire, CNC Swiss machining, wire EDM, and medical laser tube cutting.
Romi is one of the world’s largest machine tool builders with an installed base of more than 150,000 machines. The company manufactures metal cutting machine tools and plastic injection molding machinery at its 9-plant, 1.5-million sq. ft. industrial complex in Santa Barbara d’Oeste, Brazil.
Romi’s captive foundry supplies castings for its own line of machine tools as well as for other customers around the world. The company services US customers from its Erlanger, Ky., facility
