A new precision, miniature actuator has been announced, and due to its compact design, no external bearing and coupling are required .Also included is a high precision Steinmeyer ballscrew, a Faulhaber DC motor with graphite commutation and a gearless coupling for high speed, backlash free positioning and high performance in drive motion controller. It is ideal for applications that require a need for ultra high precision and outstanding dynamic performance. Typical uses include:

The actuator is available in travels ranging from 10mm to 300mm, resolution of 1 micron with integrated rotary encoder, speeds up to 120mm/s, axial loads up to 800 newton. Options include Steinmeyer ballscrew with various ptiches and travel lengths and the drive is available with different voltages.
