Stans, Switzerland and Ramsey, Minnesota – EWS Tool Technologies and Machining Cloud GmbH officials jointly announce their new partnership under which EWS tooling will be published on the Machining Cloud.
Through the Machining Cloud, EWS product data – descriptive, usage and geometric information, and application knowledge – will be readily available to feed their customers' CAM systems, simulation software and other data-hungry shop software and equipment. Using the Machining Cloud tablet and desktop apps, EWS customers will have access to a rich set of software features including tool selector, job management, reporting, and commerce thereby significantly reducing the frustration and time associated with finding, selecting, purchasing and determining the best use of EWS products.
In the U.S. Command Tooling Systems has been a member of the EWS Group since 2008. Command, with approximately 70 employees, is a leading manufacturer of tools for CNC machining centers and enhances the EWS series on the growing market for turning and milling machines. In addition to Germany and South Korea, EWS now has manufacturing capabilities and service availability in North America to better serve its customers worldwide.
The Machining Cloud apps run on Microsoft Windows 7 and 8 powered desktop and tablet computers, as well as Android tablets and iPads. The Machining Cloud is a neutral platform open to all partners and suppliers, making it suitable for the needs of most shops.
