McLean, Virginia – Based on current exhibit space sales for IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2016, next year’s pre-eminent manufacturing event in the Western Hemisphere is on track to outpace IMTS 2014 which was the fourth largest IMTS in history. IMTS 2016 will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Sept. 12-17, 2016.
Reflecting the strength of manufacturing in the world economy, early results on exhibit space sales and participating exhibitors are that both are ahead of IMTS 2014 at this same time in the show cycle, with an increase of more than 9% and more than 16%, respectively. IMTS 2014 covered more than 1.282 million net square feet of exhibit space and hosted 2,035 exhibiting companies.
Exhibit space assignments have been sent via UPS and emailed to all exhibiting companies with contracts. Limited space is still available.
“Manufacturing is an exciting industry and this continued confidence in IMTS certainly reinforces the point,” said Peter Eelman, AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology vice president – Exhibitions and Communications. “The support comes from not only by our very loyal IMTS core companies, but also by many new players who add new energy to the manufacturing arena. With 16 months to go before the doors open for IMTS 2016 our plans are fully underway. We have debuted our new logo, which represents a new perspective on IMTS and our community. In just a few weeks we will announce our exciting show theme and begin communicating what we have in store with our community of exhibitors and visitors.”
