The ProtoFastParts service gives designers the opportunity to evaluate and test various rubber formulations simultaneously. These include thermoset materials, silicones, fluoroelastomers, fluorosilicones, liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and TPR. Supporting this material selection process is Rubber Industries’ complete in-house elastomer testing facilities and formulation monitoring systems. This ensures that materials selected meet customer quality requirements. These tests include specific industry performance requirements for contamination, UV, and chemical resistance, insulation, bonding, and sealing, among others.
Once selection and formulation of the appropriate material is complete, the provider of ProtoFastParts services, Rubber Industries Inc., will build a single cavity mold and produce 12 sample parts in just 10 working days.
After a prototype part is successfully designed and tested, Rubber Industries has complete rubber and silicone production facilities to complete the entire manufacturing process in-house including high volume molding, assembly and packaging in any quantity required.
