Nominate someone you know for the International Titanium Association 2012 Titanium Achievement Award. The professional Titanium Achievement Award honours and recognizes an individual for exceptional contributions to the advancement of titanium applications or technology and has positively impacted the titanium community through their lifelong work.
The Titanium Achievement Award nominees will have distinguished themselves based on professional productivity and demonstrated leadership within the titanium arena. The nominees will have made outstanding contributions in one or more of the following areas:
•Discovery in a technical breakthrough in the mining, refining or fabricating of titanium;
•Inaugurating or influencing outstanding research or marketing programs leading to the expansion of the titanium market or titanium products;
•Acting as spokesperson for the industry on the national or international scene;
•Initiating or creating important new and imaginative uses for titanium;
•Developing practical solutions upon study of outstanding problems confronted the titanium producing and fabricating industries;
The Titanium Achievement Award recipient will be acknowledged during the TITANIUM 2012 conference and exhibition in Atlanta, Georgia on October 7 - 10, 2012.
Nomination Instructions
Only ITA members are eligible to nominate a candidate for consideration. Recipients of this award need not be members of the ITA. Nominators should send a detailed letter of nomination as well as supporting documents and a minimum of three support letters (including their own) and submit all documents to the ITA by August 1, 2012. The ITA Titanium Achievement Awards Committee will review the nominations and select one candidate. The recipient will be notified in writing and requested to submit personal information, including a photograph, for publication purposes.
