Sudbury, Massachusetts – Methods 3D Inc., a subsidiary of Methods Machine Tools Inc. featuring innovative industrial production grade 3D printing solutions, has announced that Chad Spark, 3D application engineer at Methods 3D will be speaking at the Additive Manufacturing User Group (AMUG) Conference to be held at the Hilton Chicago on March 19 - 23, 2017. Spark will discuss how to seamlessly combine traditional and 3D technologies to complement each other and achieve exponential benefits to manufacturers and customers.
"Transitioning from design and prototyping to full manufacturing production is a vital topic that many OEMs and contract manufacturers have not been exposed to, yet essential for successful metal AM solutions. Chad Spark's presentation will fully explore this and provide valuable insight and practical guidance on the subject," says Benjamin Fisk, general manager, Methods 3D Inc.
The presentation will be held March 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and will cover:
- Why additive manufacturing (AM) has moved into production in industries such as aerospace, automotive, dental, medical, tooling and many other sectors.
- How to fully realize the advantages of advanced AM design and functional intent via the seamless integration of additive manufacturing into the production process.
- Explain how the transition from prototyping and development to full manufacturing is critical to the success of metal AM implementation. This transition requires thorough review, planning and a full systems-based approach for producing robust manufacturing solutions.
AMUG is a global community focused on accelerating the education and advancement of additive manufacturing and 3D Printing. The conference brings together engineers, designers, managers, and educators from around the world to share expertise, best practices, challenges, and application developments in additive manufacturing.
