Methods Machine Tools has added a general manager to its west coast operations as part of the company’s plan for “aggressive west coast expansion.”
Fernando R. Garcia, who was president of Ellison Technologies since 2009, was named general manager Wednesday and will head up all of Methods’ operations in California, Oregon, and Washington.
Garcia will be based in the Northern California region, where the company soon plans to open a technology center.
The center will include Methods’ new line of Yasda Precision Tools machining centers, Feeler machining centers, FANUC RoboDrill vertical machining centers and wire EDM machines, plus metrology solutions.
Garcia will also be expanding Methods’ sales, service, and applications presence throughout the entire west coast region.
