The seminar, to be held on March 23, 2006 in Holliston, MA is a one-day event hosted by Mikron’s expert application engineers designed for both prospective and current practitioners of High Performance Machining (HPM). They will offer a comprehensive agenda covering a span of industry-specific technologies and applications in HPM, demonstrated on state-of-the-art High Speed Machining (HSM) systems.
The seminar will provide an overview of HSM vs. HPM. Seminar participants will gain an understanding of the requirements for medical manufacturing in terms of cycle times, surface finishes and quality. The seminar will also cover toolpath generation and milling strategies, toolholders and their selection, cutting tools and a look at “Smart Machining”. Smart Machining is an intelligent new approach to high speed machining that is designed to improve process reliability, optimize machining performance and allow reliable, unmanned operation.
