Miyachi Unitek Corp. has acquired building complex and will use it to expand its Monrovia, Calif., national headquarters and manufacturing facility.
The welding equipment and systems manufacturer acquired three buildings on the South Myrtle Business Center from Burabnk, Calif.,-based Shamrock Holdings Inc., expanding its current space from 70,000ft2 to 85,000ft2.
Miyachi Unitek plans to renovate the space in the next few years, after which manufacturing operations will be consolidated in one of the newly-acquired buildings.
“With this acquisition, Miyachi Unitek is making a significant investment in its future,” says David Fawcett, president and CEO. “The additional space will allow us to create a world class production facility featuring a unified production area on a single level.”
