Morph Wheels Wins 2013 Popular Science Best of What’s New Award

Product recognized for its innovation and advancement of wheelchair functionality.

Popular Science has honored Morph Wheels from Maddack Inc. as one of its 100 Best of What’s New awardees, citing the product’s innovation and advancement of wheelchair functionality.
 
Morph Wheels are the first-ever foldable wheelchair wheels, increasing wheelchair users’ mobility and accessibility. The product uses a quick-release axle to fold into a compact size and can fit into spaces as small as an overhead airplane bin when folded.

“We’re honored to receive such a prestigious award from Popular Science,” says Kathleen Hanek, director of operations and product management at Maddak, Inc.  “Morph Wheels were created in true collaboration with the wheelchair user community, and we’re proud to have developed a product that addresses a real need.”

Popular Science recognized Morph Wheels in the Health category of its Best of What’s New awards, which were announced in the magazine’s December issue. Editors at Popular Science review thousands of products for the awards and choose the top 100 winners across 12 categories.
