NEMA’s April Electroindustry Business Confidence Index (EBCI) for current North American business conditions indicates continued improvement in the business environment, as the index edged up to 66.7 from the 65.9 recorded in March. By contrast, confidence in future business conditions declined in April but remains firmly in positive territory. The EBCI for North American conditions six months hence retreated by just more than 10 points in April to 80.6 from 90.9 in March.
