Okuma controls product specialist

Brad Klippstein named to position; responsible for educating and training customers and distributors on the THINC-OSP CNC control.


Charlotte, North Carolina – Okuma America Corp. officials announce that Brad Klippstein has been named Controls Product Specialist. He is responsible for educating and training customers and distributors on the benefits and effectiveness of Okuma’s PC-based, open architecture THINC-OSP CNC control.

Okuma’s OSP control is a highly reliable, easy to use CNC control capable of integration with new generations of software and hardware technology. It enables access to almost any application and peripheral equipment including factory management systems, and interfaces with bar code readers, barfeeders, robots, probes, and tool setters to help streamline production.

Klippstein previously worked as a controls engineer programming and integrating Fanuc 31i lathes and most recently as a supervisor of CNC control and electrical design engineering providing technical and training support to engineering, sales, and service.

“Brad has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a controls programming engineer helping customers improve their efficiencies. We look forward to the impact he is going to make for Okuma teaching our distributors and customers how to leverage the advantages of an OSP control,” says Wade Anderson, product specialist sales manager.

Klippstein holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo. He has several years of experience in the manufacturing industry working with machine tool controls, and he will be based out of Charlotte.
