Methods Machine Tools’ new Precision Center in Acton, Massachusetts is a precision machining center where customers can test and prove out challenging parts. The center will help manufacturers arrive at the most accurate, efficient machining solutions for complex components, saving costly trial and error in operations.
Designed and built by Methods, the center offers a stringent climate-controlled environment that continuously monitors and maintains stable temperature, air pressure, and humidity. To achieve this, the Precision Center features a secured airlock entrance and exit. For machining stability, the facility has 1m-deep isolation pads with vertical and horizontal steel reinforcements.
"We are very pleased to open this state-of-the-art center. It represents a significant investment and will be an extremely valuable resource for the industry, our machine builder partners, and customers," says Jerry Rex, president & CEO, Methods Machine Tools Inc. “Manufacturers can send parts, tooling, and material to our Precision Center and intricate, challenging, tight tolerance, and confidential test parts can be made right here in the U.S."
