It began with the ringing of a Swiss cow bell on Friday, May 5, 2017, as Switzerland-based Rego-Fix welcomed a crowd to its new North American headquarters, located in AllPoints at Anson Industrial Park in Whitestown, Indiana.
As Rego-Fix President Andreas Weber prepared to cut the ribbon – with large blue scissors matched to the color of the company’s logo – he was flanked on either side by his brothers Richard Weber and Stefan Weber, while a portrait of their father Fritz Weber was the reminder of the man who started it all. Richard is president and CEO and Stefan is vice president, Rego-Fix AG, based in Tenniken, Switzerland.
The new headquarters has a larger warehouse; a workout room complete with lockers and shower facilities; a high-tech, fully connected conference room and training center; additional administrative offices; machining space – where a Hurco 5-axis machine will soon stand; loading dock; and a sales garage where product can be loaded inside, out of the elements. Additionally, the facility has room for staff and inventory to double before an expansion of the facility would be required.
Fritz founded the company in 1950 in Reigoldswil, in Swiss Jura and by 1988 its growth was so strong that a U.S. subsidiary was opened. The U.S. operations began under the guidance of Andreas, who notes the subsidiaries’ sales back then equaled what the company now does in 2-3 days. So, Andreas has reasons to be proud of where the subsidiary is today, and is happy to have opened the new N. American headquarters in a city matching the company’s continued growth.
