Sandvik Coromant has established a business relationship with Grainger, North America's leading broad line distributor of facilities maintenance products. Beginning October 2009, more than 15,000 Sandvik Coromant products will be made available through Grainger’s web site. Sandvik Coromant products will also be featured in Grainger’s 2010 catalog.
"As a market leader, we are constantly looking for ways to better serve our current and future customers," says John Israelsson, President, Sandvik Coromant. "Grainger’s highly effective distribution model will allow us to reach even more manufacturers, especially in the small to mid-size range."
The relationship with Grainger will complement Sandvik Coromant’s expansive distribution network. The company’s products will continue to be available through its existing distributors.
Founded in 1927, Grainger currently provides 1.8 million customers the products they need to keep their facilities up and running. With a highly integrated network including more than 600 branches, 18 distribution centers and multiple Web sites, the company provides fast and efficient service to manufacturers, regardless of their location.
"Now more than ever, businesses and institutions of all sizes are counting on Grainger to be the one-stop shop for all of their industrial supplies," said Fred Costello, Vice President, Product Management, Grainger. "Through our new partnership with Sandvik Coromant, we are poised to handle even more of our customers' metalworking needs."
