Effective March 1, 2011, Sandvik Coromant will introduce a version of its QS holding system for sliding head machines that can be combined with high precision coolant.
Small part machining of demanding, long-chipping materials has traditionally created significant issues in the area of chip breaking. With as little as 145 psi (10 bar) of coolant pressure, the new version of the QS system uses sighted nozzles to provide highly accurate coolant delivery, significantly improving chip breaking and performance. The new system can easily be installed in existing machines to improve component quality and provide problem-free small part machining.
