Schunk introduces the ROTA-S 2.0 Manual Chuck. The Rota-S plus manual chuck stands for high precision clamping and the fast and easy jaw changes in under a minute thanks to the Quick-Jaw-Change system.
Schunk is offering the ROTA-S plus 2.0 lathe chuck with a manually actuated expansion arbor which can be quickly retrofitted for ID clamping 20mm to 80mm. Additionally, the Rota-S 2.0 can be equipped with a selection of modular center sleeves for closed-center sealing and/or workpieces stops with adjustable workpiece stops.
An optimized wedge bar drive system and an improved lubricant system ensure consistently high clamping forces and allow more aggressive machining.
The 2.0 has improved in safety as well. The unique three-fold jaw safety device prevents operating errors, and an indicator pin at the chuck circumference now displays the individual clamping status.
The Rota-S 2.0 is ideal for rotary tables, hybrid lathes, and manual machines. Available sizes are 165mm, 200mm and 315mm.
