Schunk introduces its premium gripper range with multi-tooth guidance. Developers designed the multi-tooth guidance with the principle to spread the load across many shoulders. The guidance tasks in parallel and centric grippers are not carried out using the classical T-slot, but with a multiple prismatic guidance arranged in parallel. Therefore, forces and moments are distributed across multiple guiding areas. As a result, the guidance has a higher load capacity. Longer gripper fingers can be used, without overloading the guidance. The added guiding areas reduce the surface pressure and wear to a minimum. The multi-tooth guidance ensures minimal guidance play throughout the gripper's service life.
For over a decade, Schunk has been designing PGN-plus gripper for efficiency and precision in handling. Using the Multi-Tooth Guidance, the PGN-plus 2-finger parallel gripper guarantees great flexibility. The premium gripper range covers a wide spectrum of applications. It includes the DPG-plus 2-finger and DPZ-plus 3-finger sealed version, as well as the PGB-plus parallel and PZB-plus centric gripper with a center bore. In addition, SCHUNK offers the PZV-plus 4-finger centric gripper.
