At the event, a 4140 steel structural housing hinge with a 5" overhang and large 3/4" hole will be machined under conditions designed to test stress under full forces. Manufacturers that depend on absolute precision and reliability, such as those in the aerospace, medical and mold/ die industries, are welcome and encouraged to attend. Lunch will be served.
The machining setup will include the new EMUGE-FRANKEN EvoGrip Modular Workholding System featuring a standard centering vise with the highest clamping forces in the industry. Offering massive overhang stability, EvoGrip Centering Vises are manually operated and engineered for precise centric clamping, creating an extreme holding force of up to 75 kN.
