Siemens Healthineers has launched its first United States-based Experience Center at The Pearl, Advocate Health’s innovation district in Charlotte, North Carolina. The district brings together the city’s first four-year medical school, the Charlotte campus of Wake Forest University School of Medicine; IRCAD North America, a center for advanced surgical training; and several of the most innovative healthcare technology companies. Spanning 60,000 square feet, the Siemens Healthineers Experience Center USA features the latest technologies in imaging, diagnostics, cancer care, and advanced therapies.
Designed as an immersive, hands-on environment, the facility will enable healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and strategic partners to engage and collaborate on today’s most pressing healthcare needs. As an element of its partnership with IRCAD North America, Siemens Healthineers will provide medical imaging technology and support curriculum development for the surgeons and the teams who train at their new facility.
“Our new Experience Center perfectly captures what and where we want to be as a company,” said John Kowal, president and head of the Americas at Siemens Healthineers. “Every interaction within the center is an opportunity to build trust, spark new ideas, and reinforce our dedication to collaborating to improve patient care and treatment delivery.”
The Experience Center is the latest Siemens Healthineers investment in North Carolina, where it also operates a technical training center in Cary and has longstanding strategic partnerships with many of the state’s largest health systems. This center is expected to draw thousands of domestic and international visitors each year.
The U.S. is the largest market for Siemens Healthineers, generating 36% of its global revenue and employing 17,000 people in 18 locations nationwide. And it is the global headquarters for the Laboratory Diagnostics, Varian, Ultrasound, Molecular Imaging and PET businesses.
