Star SU
Star SU, part of the Star Cutter family of companies, announces Andreas Blind as president of Star SU, reporting to Star Cutter President and COO Jeff Lawton and replacing David Goodfellow, who’s transitioning to an advisory role with the company. Blind’s responsibilities are to facilitate and guide the sales operations of the organization, as well as serving as the chief commercial officer on the Star Cutter Company Board of Directors.

Blind’s experience encompasses product engineering as well as sales within the metrology and machine tool market inclusive of Smart technologies that support Industry 4.0. Most recently, he served as head of sales, marketing, and applications at WENZEL Group GmbH, with global responsibility for a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, aviation, defense and medical, which parallels the markets that Star SU serves. Prior to WENZEL, he spent 17 years in variety of positions at Jenoptik Smart Manufacturing, last serving as VP of Metrology, Light & Production North America.
He is a graduate of the Hochschule Furtwangen University with a Diploma in Engineering. Blind will work out of the Star Cutter Farmington Hills, Michigan office.
