ulrich medical USA Inc. officials announce the U.S. market release of the uCerv Interbody System which is a spinal implant device used for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) surgical procedures (C2-C7). The uCerv System consists of trapezoidal shaped implants that are available in a parallel or lordotic configuration of various heights (5mm-12mm) in the following sizes: 14x12, 15x13, 17x14, and a specialty XL sizing option of 19x16. All implants in this system are made from radiolucent PEEK OPTIMA material and have a tapered bullet tip, which allows for ease of insertion and distraction. In addition, these implants feature optimal teeth patterns on the superior and inferior surfaces to limit migration and a large central core, which allows for the use of maximum bone graft material.
"We are very pleased to release the uCerv family of implants to the U.S. market in response to surgeon demand for additional treatment options," says Erika Laskey, vice president of sales and marketing, ulrich medical USA. "With the addition of uCerv to our product portfolio for degenerative spine applications, we now offer a complete and superior hardware solution for spine surgeons who perform ACDF procedures."
