San Diego, California – Workshops for Warriors launched its first-ever capital campaign- a multi-year effort to raise $15million to construct a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing training center for veterans and wounded warriors at the organization's current location on Main Street, San Diego.
The event honored the school's spring semester graduates, and brought community leaders and donors together for a first glimpse of the proposed site plan for the new facility.
The first phase of the capital campaign requires that Workshops purchase the underlying land- valued at approximately $2.5million. Next, Workshops for Warriors plans to build a three-story, 45,000ft2 facility that can accommodate the ever-growing number of veterans who seek to enroll in Workshops for Warriors' innovative training program. Currently, a lack of covered space and limited classroom and seating capacity means Workshops for Warriors regularly has to turn away deserving veterans.
Workshops for Warriors wants to ensure the futures of America's veterans and wounded warriors by creating advanced manufacturing training centers throughout the nation. Can you help Workshops for Warriors build a headquarters worthy of our veterans?
