ZweigWhite has partnered with the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) to update the information in a newly released publication, The 2102 A/E/P and Environmental Consulting Industry Outlook. The report was compiled with information gathered from interviews with industry leaders and forecasters, and also using an exhaustive list of economic indicators and external reports, analysis provided by ZweigWhite's expert management consultants, data from ZweigWhite's management surveys, and a survey of A/E/P and environmental consulting firm leaders.
According to the report, the ways in which firms respond to trends, opportunities and threats is a big determinant of performance in 2012.
“There are some overarching trends that A/E/P and environmental consulting firms just cannot afford to ignore in 2012,” say the book’s author.
The section on top trends for 2012 includes PPPs, IPD & BIM, cost effectiveness of sustainability, renovations and retrofits, a focus on infrastructure, and global vision. The book has an overview of predicted and past performance of regions in the U.S. and abroad and an in-depth analysis of market sectors such as commercial and residential real estate, education, environmental, health care, power and energy, and transportation.
