Cincom M432VIII Swiss-Type Lathe

 

The new Cincom M432VIII Swiss-type incorporates the added benefit of a third Y axis on the back tool post and a B axis with rotary tools on the gang tool post. The B axis locates on the slant axis in reference to the Y axis direction.  When drilling angular holes on a conventional machine, an adjustable angle spindle is required.  But now a B axis incorporating rotary tools can be used to change the angle continuously, allowing you to machine multiple angular holes in a single set up.  Contouring with simultaneous four-axis control is also possible.  The back tool post can accommodate holders at three positions (two positions for rotary tool specifications and one for fixed tool specifications) and up to nine tools can be included.
