VARDEX is pleased to announce its expanded line of indexable thread turning solutions for applications with small bores. Mini-3 IC5.0 was recently added to VARDEX’s mini thread turning line, now providing solutions for the following minimum bore diameters:
Mini-3 IC5.0 inserts feature 3 cutting corners for improved productivity and a significantly extended tool life. Offered in both VTX (TiAlN coated) and VBX (TiCN coated) grades, Mini-3 IC5.0 inserts are compatible with existing toolholders on the market today (insert size 08) and are available in the following threading profiles: Partial Profile 60°, Partial Profile 55°, ISO Metric, American UN, Whitworth, NPT, NPTF, BSPT, American ACME, Stub ACME, Trapez and PG.
Mini-3 IC5.0 toolholders are available in Steel and Carbide shanks with a maximum tool overhang of 35mm (1.37”) and feature through tool coolant for improved cooling at the cutting corner.
