Haarlem, Netherlands - The machine tool company, Hembrug, will present the MikroTurn 300 Base Line at the IMTS 2016. A unique, high quality, ultra precision, fully hydrostatic hard turning machine. Although the MikroTurn 300 Base Line is the entry level model in the MikroTurn series it is capable of achieving form and size accuracies between 0,1 and 2 µm and surface finishes of 0,1-0,4 Ra in hardened workpieces up to 68 HRC and up to 380 mm in diameter.

The hard turning process is an innovative process and has many advantages when compared to cylindrical grinding. Hard turning can be up to 3 to 4 times faster with comparable grinding applications. Hembrug Machine Tools will demonstrate the advantages of this process on the MikroTurn 300 Base Line by means of the finish hard turning high precision bearings.
Hembrug has decades of experience in the design and manufacturing of ultra precision fully hydrostatic turning machines. The current MikroTurn machines entails more than 40 years of engineering knowledge in hydrostatic bearing systems and guideways.
